Our Queen

On the 6 February 1952, with the passing of her father King George VI, The Princess Elizabeth became The Queen of Canada, as well as Queen of the United Kingdom and her other Dominions around the world.

For 50 years, Her Majesty Elizabeth II has carried out her duties, with grace and dignity, to represent the power and authority of law and government within our nation.

The Mayor, the Council and the Golden Jubilee Committee of The Town of Markham, Ontario, Canada, invite one and all to celebrate this wonderful achievement with a year of special events.
